BENTON, Ark. (LRFW/RSWMD) - Be a part of Re-Fashion Bash "Where Green is the New Black" to be hosted at the Benton Event Center, Saturday, April 11th, 2015. This event will highlight Saline County students of all ages walking the runway turning trash to treasure. They will be showcasing their fashion designs made from recycled material. Come out and support your students on this memorable red carpet night. Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the Saline County RSWMD office located at 114 W. Sevier St. in Downtown Benton. Top recycled designs will receive prize money with first place receiving ($500), second place ($250), and third place ($100).
Students are being mentored by professionals including fashion designers Lacie Cupani, owner of Cupani Fashion (Little Rock Fashion Week 2014 Clothing line of the Year); Treva Burns, owner of MEROCKI; and artist Christopher Young. During the Re-Fashion Bash runway show, guests will be treated to recyclable fashions by Cupani and Burns. LRFW Founder and Executive Producer Brandon D. Campbell is co-producer of the fashion show with Saline County RSWMD.
There will be a Recycled Art showcase hosted by the Saline County YEA Teams (Youth Environmental Ambassadors) right after the fashion show. These pieces were created by Saline County students from a contest that was hosted in conjunction with America Recycles Day. Also, Habitat for Humanity Re-Store and Native Hound will be featuring items available for sale.
In addition to the fashion designs, four lucky Saline County Seniors will be honored with scholarships for their dedication to their community and school!!
